Ironworks Forum back Up!
The Forum server has been fixed, and would have been up yesterday (Tuesday) but my friend that runs the ISP our server is hosted by is upgrading our bandwidth to a DS-3. This means we will have LOTS more bandwidth and faster connections to the Forum! That, along with the new 60Gb Hard drive (which is a 7200rpm ATA-100 Drive) means the Forum will be extremely faster, and will allow many, many more connections! The upgrade should be finished tonight they say, so We're back today!

Neverwinter Area & Icewind Dale Area News
I'm been working to get lot's of Modules and add-ons for the Ironworks Gaming Neverwinter area, it'll be ready in a week. Also, our Icewind Dale II Area will open around the same day.

Forums will return Tuesday Aug 13th 2002
Over the last few weeks leading up to last Friday, Ironworks Forum kept crashing every few hours. We finally found out what was causing this. The Hard Drive was failing, and was reporting bad sectors. I managed to back up the entire forum and purchased a new 60GB Hard Drive and have been working to get the drive changed over. We were supposed to have the Forum up Sunday, but things didn't work out. But Tuesday, the Forum will be back online, and with faster loading times as well. I really hate when things like this happen, but we were lucky the Hard Drive didn't just die suddenly! As of now, I am just doing a full clean up on the system, and installing new security programs as well as new Perl CGI drivers. See you Tomorrow! (Tuesday)

Icewind Dale II Goes Gold
Back Isle has said that Icewind Dale II has gone gold, and that it will be released in a Collectors Ed and normal edition on Aug 27th 2002!

Neverwinter Nights has gone Gold!

Ironworks Site Update
As many of you might know, the site hasn't been being updated much for a few Months. There had been a death in my Family, and I needed to take some time away. But now, we are back, and will get this site back on track, with a NEW Web Design, and 2 new areas--The Morrowind area and the Arx Fatalis area. We will also return to normal daily CRPG news on this page as well!

Dungeon Siege Beta Editor v1.09B.306 Released
The Editor many have been waiting for has been released. It is not the 'final' version of the Editor, but it's still a near-finished Editor.

Neverwinter Aurora Toolset Beta Released
The NWN Toolset Beta has been released! You can download it from a bunch of different Mirror sites right Here. Be warned, they say that any modules that are built with this BETA may not work with the final version.

Devine Divinity Demo Released

New Web 'areas' Opening soon at Ironworks
We will be opening 3 NEW Web 'areas' here at Ironworks: Dungeon Siege, Arx Fatalis, and Morrowind! Each of these will have all the goodies like our other web areas have--hints, tips, walkthroughs and so much more!! We'll be opening these areas starting April 5th, in which we open the Ironworks Dungeon Siege area. We'll have Textures and Models for download as well! Lot's of gaming goodness coming!! 

Dungeon Siege has gone GOLD!
The Kingdom of Ehb is now closer than it ever was! Microsoft today announced that Dungeon Siege has gone gold and is expected to hit North American store shelves by April 5. Dungeon Siege will be available for an estimated retail price of $49.99 (U.S.).

Although we have yet to receive the a press copy, we'll have our review and Webarea of Dungeon Siege up on April 5th! So remember to come back here for all your Hints and tips! 

New Dungeon Siege Trailer Released!
The one-minute-long trailer showcases many of the game's exciting elements, and ends with a stunning visual of a Massive Dragon raining down fire over an intrepid adventurer. Gamers who download the trailer from the official site will witness big-party combat complete with close-ups of exquisite details on the warrior, mage and archer characters. Gorgeous 3-D landscapes are also highlighted, including lush forest valleys, arid desert canyons and frosty ice caverns!

Black Isle Studios Announces Icewind Dale II

Bioware and Interplay reach an agreement!
Neverwinter Nights Fans, We are pleased to announce that BioWare has resolved all legal disputes with Interplay, and that Neverwinter Nights will be published worldwide by Infogrames. Check out the press release here.

Dark Age Of Camelot Gold
Producer at Mythic Entertainment, Matt Firor says we feel that "gone gold" doesn't mean much in the MMORPG industry. It's the release date that is the main determining factor in whether the game is done or not. Since these games have a server component that is as important (if not more so) than the client graphics and executables, we are able to work on the game long after the "gold" CD has been submitted.

So yes, we have submitted the Gold CD to Vivendi (about two and a half weeks ago), and the packaging of the game is proceeding. The CD contained a full set of the game's client, including a lot of art and sounds that we're still working on "hooking" up with new server updates.

E3 News: Throne of Bhaal
Gamespot has a great preview on BG2:ToB, Check it out! "80 new and different areas to explore, 40 new monsters to fight, and more than 100 new and powerful weapons, armors, and items to collect. All told, the expansion will add between 30 and 50 hours of gameplay to the original game!"

After being down for a record 2 weeks, Ironworks is back, and now with a new host! Everything is as it was. Bookmarks, Links and such remain the same. Send in your Baldur's Gate Saved games!
Here's your chance. BioWare is looking for saved games from any Baldur's Gate game. If you want to give them a hand, here's a quick rundown on how to give them what they're looking for:

1) Browse to your save game folder (on BGII it's usually "C:\Program Files\Black Isle\BGII - SoA\save")
2) The folders you see (inside "save") are your saved games - choose one
3) Make a .zip file of the folder you want to submit to BioWare (do not send the "save" folder)
4) Create an email message to: bg2saves@bioware.com
5) Attach the .zip file to the message.
6) Send the email, with the .zip file attached.
